4 Lessons Athletes Can Learn From Kirk Herbstreit's Book Out Of The Pocket
Are you a basketball player, a high school or college athlete that has experienced low points along your journey? How you struggled with self-doubt as you strive to achieve big dreams? Well today I’m going to share some valuable lessons that can help you though those times, for any basketball player or really any athlete, taken strait from the pages of Kirk Herbstreit’s fascinating book, Out of The Pocket.
In addition to being a basketball coach and fan, I’m also a huge college FB fan and even if you aren’t, the beginning of college FB season always marks the end of summer, the beginning of fall and yes even marks Pumpkin Spice Latte season. One of the things I love doing on Saturday mornings during FB season is waking up early and watching College Gameday and my favorite commentator Kirk Herbstreit. He is known by most sports fans as Mr. College FB. I also love sports success stories and how people such as Kirk achieve so much and make it to a place in life so many people dream about. So this summer I set out to learn about his fascinating journey from his book, Out of the Pocket.
Welcome back to Hard Smart Together! I’m Coach Dave, I’m here every week to help basketball players become the smart, confident players that coaches love.
Hope you enjoy! Coach Dave
