If you’re a high school basketball player that’s been watching all the March Madness basketball games, you may have noticed that a lot of the games come down to which team applies enough pressure to effect the other team’s poise. Today, I’m going to share two great ways you can apply pressure as an individual basketball player on your opponents.

A couple of weeks ago we talked about some specific things you could look for in these games to start studying game film in a more analytical way to improve your basketball IQ. As I watch these games I am reminded of what most basketball games come down to and that is which team can apply enough relentles pressure to crack the poise of their opponent. Strategies from your coach are designed to do this, but there are individual habits that smart players do on both offense and defense that apply pressure too. We are going to discuss two of those today.

Welcome back to Hard Smart Together! I’m Coach Dave, I’m here every week to help basketball players become the smart, confident players that coaches love.

Hope you enjoy!
